RENOVATION OF AN AFTER-SCHOOL CENTER NEAR CUSCO, PERU (outdoor structure pictured above)
In August-September 2016, I worked with a local construction worker and fellow volunteers to rebuild an after school center in Cusco, Peru. With a team of 3-4 volunteers, we repaired and repainted the interior walls of an after school center and built an outdoor structure using local and reclaimed materials such as "carrizo", a lower-priced and easily accessible alternative to bamboo.
